Empty Bowls for Hiati at GFU.

Friday, April 16th 4:30 to 7:30 on the George Fox Campus. $12 per person.

You get a bowl and a meal.
It is not too early to begin planning for a great night out!
This is the result of the throw-a-thon that Matty and I participated in. Over 1500 bowls were thrown in one day, all to benefit earthquake victims in Hiati.
Many professional potters participated in this event. It is a good opportunity to get a nice bowl or two and a meal. Click on the link below to get more information and to see the video.

Sculpture Artists Unite!

Artist Kris Kuski does drawings, paintings and sculpture.
Look closely at his work! The detail is amazing!
Kris spent his youth in rural seclusion and isolation along with a blue-collar, working mother, two much-older brothers and an absent father. Open country, sparse trees, and alcoholic stepfather, perhaps paved the way for an individual saturated in imagination and introversion. His fascination with the unusual lent to his macabre art later in life. The grotesque to him, as it seemed, was beautiful.

Thank you for sharing this link with me Matt S.!

Installation Art

This piece is about a daughter's celebration of her father's life. It is so touching, well-thought out, and just plain amazing. I had to share it with you!
